Tempered glass and laminated glass

It involves taking regular glass and subjecting it to a specific process to make tempered glass. To begin, the glass is heated to a very high temperature until it becomes soft. Then, it is cooled quickly. The rapid cooling also makes the glass super strong and difficult to shatter. This strength makes Star tempered glass popular in applications where safety is a top priority, such as in buildings, vehicles, and even shower doors.

The benefits of using tempered glass in construction

Laminated glass, on the other hand, has a different process. There is a layer of plastic sandwiched between two layers of glass. Kind of like the sandwich, the plastic acts as the filling. The plastic layer holds the shards of glass together in the event it does shatter.

The Star laminated glass tempered glass is also common in locations where safety is a high priority, such as residential and commercial windows. It is also quite effective at insulating sound from the outside, meaning buildings will be less noisy and disruptive for everyone occupying the interior space.
